Bala’s gently shelving shores are perfect for beginners. With personal coaching and the latest boards, you can expect to be up and sailing inside a single day.

A ½ day session is perfect for those of you who haven’t yet had a taster of the sport, within this 2 ½ hour session you will be accompanied by one of our highly qualified windsurfing instructors which will be at hand to teach you everything you need to get you started.

For the more experienced people we have the accredited courses these are based on the 1 day, 2 day or 5 day courses.

There is no minimum requirement before starting the one day course. Within the contents of this course you will learn a range of skills which will include of an introduction to a beach start and improved stance on all points of sailing.

After completing the days training you would have gained new skills by learning techniques such as the introduction to the harness and improved knowledge of tacking and gybing your sail. Completing this course will take you to a higher level and get you ready for a level 3 course.

Minimum requirement to start a level 3 windsurfing course (2 day) will be for you to be a competent level 2 sailor.

This course is where all techniques previously learn will all form together to get your board planning to give you the exhilaration of speed.

Skills on self rescue and towing another sailor will be included in this course included with all previous skills but in more depth.

Within completing this course you will be able to sail comfortably in foot straps and harness in planing conditions, this will leave you ready to complete the 5 day course.

The completion of the 5 day course will lead you to the cutting edge of windsurfing.

You will be capable of beach starting in waves, water starting in light winds after this course which will leave you experienced enough to get up and start wherever you are!
